One of my boys tried one of those mini CD's in my laptop and now appears to be stuck. It did not go in far enough to use any of the conventional "eject" methods.
Any advice?

The only sfae method I know of is to remove the drive from the computer and follow this repair guide. Ralph

Use two strips of double sticky tape (like for window insulation or wrapping) on 1/2 of an old CD/DVD.
You put two strips side by side to cover one half of the CD/DVD. You hold firmly onto the other 1/2 and slide it 1/2 into the slot.
Tilting and pulling you should be able to catch the mini CD/DVD and pull it right out. (As you pull you may want to hit the eject key.)
No disassembly required.
Good Luck,
N.
The double sided tape worked like a charm. Thank you machead3 and rj713 for your suggestions.
