Hi, i also received this error today: 4SNS/1/40000000
Specs:
MacBook Pro 15" i7, mid-2010 model (version 6.2).
8GB Ram
High res antiglare screen.
First of all, i cannot boot the machine without holding the power button for several seconds until the power led blinks fast. Doesn't matter if i've shut the computer down entirely, or trying to wake it from sleep. It also doesn't matter if i've plugged it in an external power source or not.
This behavior started recently (4-5 days ago).
Second of all, performance is really low compared to an almost identical MacBook Pro, especially CPU performance, http://db.xbench.com/merge.xhtml?doc1=52...
ignore the disk benchmark as he uses an SSD. This has probably been like this since day 1, but i didn't notice it until i tested my friends identical macbook.
I've tried resetting SMC and PRAM several times. I've even completely removed everything from the harddrive and reinstalled. I've completely drained the battery (well not completely as this would damage it, but as low as i can get it). Nothing has worked so far.
I've even tried another harddrive from a friend om mine, same problem, low performance and same startup issue.
Only thing left to do is to return this faulty computer i guess. I just wanted to add my 2 cents on this issue as there next to no information on this problem.
