Recently my AC adapter wire melted at the bass... and against better judgment I made an attempt at fixing this. Since this little excursion, either due to my meddling or the initial meltdown, this Macbook will no longer charge.
The battery is fine, it holds a charge and can be charged inside other Macbooks. My new powercord (though third party) is fine, it charges other Macbooks and keeps my own running.
I have replaced the Magsafe DC-In Board with no new results. Granted it is a used item that I installed, but was assured that it had been tested.
Now my fear may be that this is a Logic Board issue, but if that's the case, is it fixable without replacing it? And is it possible it may be something else? Are there any applications that can test my hardware?
Thanks,
Eric
