I would guess the logic board on the iPod might be faulty, but hard to tell without experimenting a lot. If you want to undertake the task, you can swap the batteries back and see if the problem recurs with the old battery. It's also possible that a fault in the charging apparatus has made the batteries bad. A problem that does not happen for a week or more makes it very difficult to track down.

Ouch....ok. I'll make the swap tonight and see how it goes. LOL guess I should start thinking about purchasing a new one.

UPDATE: Ok so I pulled everything out and then was checking the Logicboard. I noticed that the connection between the input for the battery cable and the actual logicboard was loose. When I tried to "reseat" it with my finger the solder joint broke. I believe that was my problem, either from replacing the battery or dropping the ipod that connection was damaged. lol...in the market for a new logicboard.

Glad you figured out what the problem was, but sorry it had to be something like that. There is no way to re-solder the connection? I know it's small, but it's not link you'll make it worse at this point, right?

My iPod is not taking charge. I wonder what's the problem? I jugged with it on Sunday, April 18, 2010 and all was fine. What is the problem?
