It still moves up and down, but my phone doesn't go into vibrate anymore. I know the vibrate mechanism still works because my phone will still vibrate in games and whatnot, it's just not making contact to the vibrate switch. I want to fix it, but I don't know what I should buy. I don't know if I need the metal that the switch holds on to, or a new switch itself (even though this one appears to be fine). Could someone show me what I need?

seems like you need a new headphone jack assembly--apparently the problem isn't so uncommon. i've heard it's a fairly straightforward repair, although i just did one and i think i might have zapped the motherboard. not to scare you--i haven't been able to find anyone else online who's experienced the same thing after attempting this repair. i posted about it a few minutes ago.
