Hello awhile ago I spilled a cup of coffee full of cream and sugar on my laptop. I wasn't able to stop the coffee from damaging the computer. At first numerous horizontal lines appeared zapping across the screen, and then the screen went almost entirely black. Now a few small horizontal lines continue to zap across the black screen on occasion. I'm able to still use the computer by plugging it into another monitor. My question is what part would it potentially be that is damaged, and could i replace it to restore the laptops proper function?

You need to clean the inside really well or corrosion will kill it. I'm thinking the part you may have damaged is the display data cable / connector As I recall it's a heavy black connector that comes off near the Graphics Chip, You didn't mention which flavor of G4 you had but ook here
Good Luck,

Thanks for the reply! I'm really happy to get any feedback from people with insight into Mac parts and their functions. I have a 12" aluminum 1.33 ghz powerbook G4. I'll check into the display data cable and see if it could be the problem.
