"Not Charging"

Reply by ryan28

I have a mid-2007 Macbook that will not charge a battery. I have another Macbook to swap Magsafe adapters and batteries with. Here is what I have found.

1. When either Magsafe is plugged into bad system, there is a very dim green light and the menu bar shows that the computer is on AC power, but not charging.

2. Both Magsafes work normally on the other system.h

3. The good system can charge both batteries.

4. The bad system recognizes the battery and displays the level of charge.

5. I have reset the PMU, and NVRAM

At this point I am thinking DC-In board. Does anyone agree or have any other suggestions?

I'm assuming the computer is powered up with the Magsafes and working normally except for charging the battery. If that is the case I would suspect a logic board problem instead. Ralph

Correct the computer is powered up and works normally except charging the battery. I already ordered a DC-in board, so I might try anyway. If its the the logic board I will likely replace the computer.
