Problems with battery and screen after disassembly-assembly of MBP2007. Please help!

Hello,

I changedheat sensors and fans of my MBP2007, which meant taking it apart - removing logic board etc..

I didn't have any additional thermal paste, so I used what was already there (looked enough), apart from that everything went smoothly..

BUT! Now the screen of my MBP has some whitish or yellowish tint and can't work at it's normal resolution (some vertical stripes, like vertical interlacing prevent me from seeing anything clearly). Everything's fine on the external monitor though...

Also the battery sign in OSX says, there's no battery (the battery is brand new), MBP won't turn on without power adapter connected as well.

Please tell me, what could I have done wrong? Or what can I do to help you finding me the problem?

check the LVDS (video data cable) and the battery charging board connections on the motherboard and go the any electronic shop to buy artic silver thermal paste and put a new coat on the heatsink.

Without replacing the thermal paste you're gonna cook that sucker!

Allow the battery up to five minutes to come out of its low power mode and begin accepting a charge. If your battery still is not recognized by the computer—if it still has an X over the icon—after five minutes, you may want to reseat the battery. If the battery still isn't recognized after reseating, try resetting the SMC.

If the battery is not recognized after those steps even though it's a "new" battery it could be defective - this has happened to me, new battery and instead of charging the first time I put it in the Macbook it completely discharged.
