RAM for MacBook Pro 15" Core 2 Duo Model A1211

Reply by ryfusd

My latop MacBook Pro 15" Core 2 Duo Model A1211

I want to get 1GB more RAM

I got 2GB right now. I know it can hold up to 3GB.

I don't know if I have two 1GB right now or just one stick of a 2GB

So my question is, how many slots does it have for the RAM?

Is there a slot so I can have 3 1GB sticks,

or just 2 slots for GB sticks with one being 2GB and the other 1GB???? That's 3 total...

What is standard for when they build the laptop?

I don't know if I need to just get one more GB stick or one more with 2GB to max my RAM

I hope that made sense.

THANKS

From what I see there are two ram slots. You can use the following url to look up your particular MBP and its ram capabilities. Ralph
