Eva I turned off my computer one day and later went to turn it on and nothing. It's plugged into the wall. Battery is fine. It lights up.
But, when I push the power button nothing happens. No "ta-da", power light, or anything.
I let the comp. sit for a few days and tried again. Still nothing.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:)

lemerise Absolutely no sound (hard disk) and no activity (caplock key light) when you push on the power button ?
How many green lights on the battery ?
When connecting the AC adapter to the ibook do you get the green or yellow light on the tip ?

Eva The battery is lighting up 3 green lights w/the 3rd blinking.
The AC adapter has a green light. showing it's on.

lemerise try to reset the ibook power manager: take off the battery, disconnect the AC adapter then push on the power button for 5 seconds. Reinstall battery, connect AC adapter and try to boot the ibook. If it does'nt work then you should test your battery and AC adapter on another ibook. If they're working then you got a power problem. Could be a bad power switch, DC board or faulty motherboard,
Since your battery is not full charge the AC adapter tip should show a yellow color meaning the battery is currently in charge mode.

Eva Lemerise, It WORKS!!! I took out the battery and held down the power button. Put it all back together and it started right up!
