My Macbook Pro 2.2GHz Graphics card wnet out on my a few days ago and it is no longer covered under waranty because i did not get the apple care plan. What would I have to pay to get it repaired if I sent it into Apple or to an Apple Repair Specialist? Would it be any less than $700?

I suggest taking it to Apple or a Apple Specialist to have it tested for the Nvidia graphics issue. Apple is providing coverage for these units, warranty or not.

I just read about that Nvidia issue not too long ago. So I will be going to my local Apple repair center today. I am pretty sure that is the issue; sure fits all the symptoms anyway. I can't really afford a new computer right now let alone an expensive repair, so free repair sounds really good right now.
