Your computer came with 10.2.7 installed as the minimum OS so the 10.2.4 may be causing a problem as it may be for an earlier Powerbook 17. Since you can start Safari check under the Apple and using software update see if you can download the OS update. No charge for trying and might resolve your problem. Good luck Ralph
