I know this is an old thread/question but I thought I'd share some pictures of a recent teardown of a Flip Mino HD.

The screen was broken and work had already ordered a replacement camcorder so I decided to brutally take apart this one.

Interesting side note - the device worked just fine totally disassembled with the front control board, usb connector and screen detached. The Flickr set above also has a brief video taken with the Flip in mid-repair.
