Hey Ralph I tried installing it and it didn't do anything because my mac is a late 08 macbook unibody and it says this computer doesn't need thi update. Is this hard drive too powerful for my computer

Hi, It appears your computer came with a 320 GB drive but 5400 not 7200. I would think the drive would be ok -- just noisy but am a little concerned about the clicking noise. If possible try the drive in an external case and if you still get the clicking you may have a bad drive. I'm including a url for your computer specs. Hope this has been of some help. Ralph

maybe you can try WD3200BEKT or BJKT, could be quieter and less vunlerable.

some faults was reports on the 7200.3, now since the 7200.4 has come out, i dont know if its a good1
