Macbook headphone deaf

Flag Reply by zoltan Nov 1 @ 11:10 AM

Hello All,

having a Macbook 13,3' duo 2 core, and the headphone socket is deaf. I cannot hear anything (tried with multiple headphones). The speakers are ok. In system prefs I can see when I plug the 3,5 jack into the phones socket: the macbook recognizes that there are headphones connected. I also can hear a click in the headphones while plugging in. Is there anything I haven't checked, or how canI diy repair the socket?

Thank you

Zoltan

You should get a new headphone jack, or new I/O. It seems you've done everything you can that isn't changing parts.

Hi Bryan

No problem, on the discussions page just click new thread to the right, just above where it tells you who has most recently added to the thread.

Hopefully we can fix your iBook!

I'm having the same difficulty in the "Headphones can't work" thread. It's a computer Macbook late 2006 model, but for some reason the little input is not working at all. Do I replace the logic board?
