Headphones can't work

Flag Reply by baniigaaru Oct 29 @ 10:12 PM

The little hole where you input headphones and speakers no longer works - at all. I've tried restarting but I think it's the logic board. Anything I can do? Or can you direct me to a previous post/article that can tell me what's wrong?

Much appreciated.

No, multiple sets of headphones don't work at all (they don't have sound control), and the sound only works when I take out the headphone plug, no matter how much I turn up the volume. :/

Read this if you have a 5th Gen:

They've been replacing or repairing these 5th Gen ipods. I opened mine to try to fix it, as it was off warranty, before I found that they were taking them back more than a year later due to it being a hardware defect. Not a wear/tear issue.

I was talking about a computer - completely my fault for not putting the specs on here. It's a late 2006 model Macbook.
