Headphones can't work

Reply by baniigaaru

The little hole where you input headphones and speakers no longer works - at all. I've tried restarting but I think it's the logic board. Anything I can do? Or can you direct me to a previous post/article that can tell me what's wrong?

Much appreciated.

did yu try turning up the sound on he computer? or if youhqve headphones like mine and they have their own volume control is that turned up?

No, multiple sets of headphones don't work at all (they don't have sound control), and the sound only works when I take out the headphone plug, no matter how much I turn up the volume. :/

Read this if you have a 5th Gen:

They've been replacing or repairing these 5th Gen ipods. I opened mine to try to fix it, as it was off warranty, before I found that they were taking them back more than a year later due to it being a hardware defect. Not a wear/tear issue.

oh sorry dude, didn't know you were talking about an iPod, I thought you were talking about a computer

I was talking about a computer - completely my fault for not putting the specs on here. It's a late 2006 model Macbook.
