MacBook Pro Model #A1286

Reply by ifixit743

Hello, I've got a MacBook Pro Model #A1286 (It is a 15" Unibody mid 2009 with 3.06 GHz, MacBookPro5,3).

This model number doesn't show up in your "ID your Mac" section

Thanks.

The only time I've seen this happen was when the logic board was replaced. I've not found a solution to fix the issue but this could at least be the cause of it not appearing.

have you replaced the logic board? I'm not trying to sound like a herk or anything, just curious

I was referring to the "ID your Mac" section of this website, not in the computer itself...

The MacBook Pro5,3 model has a single plate bottom to the enclosure. I have seen nothing on this site that resembles this model.
