Are Glossy and Matte Displays Interchangeable?

I have a late-2006 MacBook Pro 15" (MA609LL) with a broken glossy screen (B154PW01 V0) and would like to replace it with a matte screen (BP154PW01 V1). Are glossy screens interchangeable with matte screens in this instance?

I think we just corresponded via email, but for those still curious, the LCD's are interchangeable. The distinction is merely a matter of preference.
