I've just replaced my broken screen on my iphone 3GS. Now when I touch a app it opens the app to the left. Bottom row of app (I.E. phone) are not working at all. I've aready tried reset and restore and had no luck. I'm wondering if it could be one of the connections (I.E. 1,2 or 3) that is making this happen. Any ideas?

Ditto, and somewhat bizarre that that is the exact problem as mine.
has anyone found the answer to problem?
connectors seem to be all good, But is there a chance one may be off by one pin?

Same problem here. I cracked my screen, got a replacement glass w/ digitizer, then installed it myself. Thought it might be a bad digitizer, so I got another one. still faced with the same issue. pretty sure it's the number 2 connector, and it's in there as good as I can get it. I've tried re-seating it about 20 times now. really wish there was a fix for this.

You may have a copy Cat ditizer and the cable is to wide to fit in the connector,. The really bad thing is the by know you have a bad connector because the connectors are not made to be openned and closed that many times,
Or it could of been you can have a bad connector and the cable was fine and it was really a apple part so alway make sure you get your parts from a good company like Ifixit.com I hope this help you

The 3g digitizer looks the same as the 3gs digitizer but it is not. if you put the wrong one in you will have trouble opening the apps that you want (you will open the one next to it), this is a common problem with cracked screens and suppliers do not always send the correct part, always compare conections new with old. Good luck
