This has happened to me too. I just replaced my HD in a 15" MacBook Pro Core Duo 2ghz 4gig RAM. I swapped the HD to a Western Digital Blue Scorpio 500gig after cloning the drive with Carbon Copy.
Both drives (original and cloned) are bootable when in external HD however NEITHER will mount when in the MacBook. All I get is the flashing ? Folder.
THe drives will not show up in Disk Utility and resetting PRAM has not worked.
From an afternoon searching my best guess is I have somehow damaged the HD cable or possibly even the logic board?
Like I said both drives are fine as both boot up via USB in a external HD enclosure so I'm not worried about losing data but this is driving me MAD!
Any other suggestions?
