I have a MacBook 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo that I recently had to replace the lcd screen on. That part was successful however when I got it all back together and I tested everything there was one problem. The optical drive is no longer sucking the discs in. All I really want to know is if it was anything I did or if I just didn't put something together right.

When you first turn on the laptop, do you hear the drive run through it's eject cycle?
Just trying to see if it's getting power...

yes it does run through its eject cycle at startup. It also, when you stick a disc pretty far into it, makes some pretty weird noises then actually pushes it back out with its eject cycle. The only thing it doesn't do is suck it in haha.
