I have an iPhone 3G with a completely shattered glass screen - everything works fine, LCD no problems. I ordered a replacement front panel kit to replace the glass entirely.
Normally, people use a suction cup to remove the glass as videos show. Now, I'm worried that this will not work for me as the glass is so obliterated into tiny pieces. I've seen videos using a knife/spudger tool to remove the glass first. Any tips or ideas on how I should go about this? Should I use the suction cup first to try and separate the front panel and then follow the guide?
Thanks for any help you can provide
