iPhone 3G Home Button doesn't work.

I just replaced the digitizer, the glass screen, on my iphone and the Home button now doesn't work... any ideas?

When I did this, I noticed that I accidentally unplugged cable #4 inside. That fixed it for me.

Hi. If you used a heater to warm the glass, you might have overheated the button. It only shows on the back where it can be bended a bit by the warmth. u can then lift of the cable and use a piece of sanding paper to flatten the buttom of the button :-) Then replace the cable and you should be good to go.

I figured it out screen was sitting perfectly flat cause of a screw (I also had to replace the dock assembly) wasn't screwed down all the way

hi!! i just change the home back case and the iphone turns on but now the home button doesnt work!! any ideas?? thanxx

After you replace everything and the Home Button still doesn't work then try this: put cardboard slide it under copper connecter ribbon and also on the back of your home button and secure with scotch tape then try it out. This should give the home button support for when you push down on it.
