Quick question:

I'm debating whether to buy a used iMac which is too far for me to go and take to an Apple store Genius Bar to check out. I.e. other side of the country...

It apparently runs fine except for the cursor having a "bar code-like" image that follows it around. It disappears when typing and when watching a movie or playing a game. The owner has tried a clean install of the Leopard OS but the issue prevails. The screen apparently is perfect.

So... any ideas? Could it be the mouse? Or something more serious?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
