My kids each have a 4-year-old Mac Mini. My son just got a new computer. Can we use his old Mac Mini to improve the performance of his sister's Mac Mini? How might we do this?

What you're talking about is possible, but isn't something that you would use. It is for servers and I don't know of a way to use it as you're thinking. That's not to say a way doesn't exist, but I doubt you'd see any benefit. I'd max out the memory (RAM) and that's about all for a Mini.

@Sarabian lol very wise you are
@bpfamily i don't think your daughter would want to run a server, but like Sarabian said, memory upgrades are very possible and effective.
