kenyp71 The upper cover latch came apart on my G4 ibook 1.2GHz and I still have the hook, but need schematic to repair or replace hook so that lid will close and latch.
Need help and instructions. I need pin that goes thru eye of hook and knowledge as how to fixit.

matthewfrey The Latch assembly is part of the Display Bezel - if the hook itself came out of the assembly, gonna be easier to replace the assembly then to fix the hook.

Sarabian It would require you to melt plastic, swap the hook, and reform the plastic. If you are equipped for that, then have fun repairing it. Otherwise I'm thinking you need a new bezel.
But if you are equipped for that, maybe leave your name and number. People might send some work your way.

But where do I find a new bezel with the (clutch housing?) ??;;;;;;;;;;;;;
