There are structural differences, unfortunately. The screw holes through the heat sink and logic board are in a different orientation with the nvidia white MacBooks. Therefore, the lower case of earlier models won't work with the guts from the new one.
Depending on how handy/daring you are, you may be able to modify the black lower case to accommodate the new orientation. Be aware, however, that the screw posts are crucial for grounding in MacBooks. A faulty ground through the screw posts results in the death of the keyboard, trackpad, and USB (painful learning experience for me)!
