Assuming you have a 3G iPhone, we sell the front panel area including the digitizer. This front panel is much cheaper than Apple's quoted price. Here is our guide for the front panel.

Thanks for your help. The upper right hand corner is dented a little from the fall but no visible screen damage. I have the 2g iphone, is it still an easy fix?

The process for the 1st gen Iphone and 2nd gen iphone is pretty much the same.. Being a tech - I forget sometimes what may be easy for one person, might not be easy for another.. if you have taken apart an ipod before , (and it worked after you put it back together) you should be okay. Take it slow, follow directions.. and if all else fails.. mail it to someone like me who will work for beer :)

Just to clarify, there are 2 revisions of the iPhone: the 1st Gen iPhone without 3G internet capability, and the 2nd Gen iPhone 3G with 3G internet capability. The 2nd Gen iphone 3G is a fairly easy repair with available parts. The 1st Gen iphone is much more difficult to open up, and the part you need is extremely difficult to come across.

My daughter dropped her 1st Gen iPhone and cracked the glass screen. The phone still works normally but I'd like to replace the glass. Apple says the repair costs as much as a new phone. I'll buy the tools required and go for it, but where do I find the part and step by step directions? Thank you. What a wonderful site and service!
