4th gen ipod lights on but nothing clicks in

I just replaced the battery using your easy to follow guide & tools I bought from you. I tried it from the beginning, charging the ipod by its usb connection to my laptop. While charging I was able to access all the songs on it and play it through the computer. After fully charging (battery picture full on screen), I detached it using the eject option, waited for the "do not disconnect" to disappear and started to use the menu on screen. But one big problem. The menu was frozen. There is absolutely no access to anything. No scroll, no action when clicked, nothing. My question is "Now What?".

Thanks for any thoughts.

Try performing a hard reset by holding down the center select and menu button together for about 8-10 seconds. This should un-freeze your iPod. Let me know how that turns out.
