I believe that I have a small disk, maybe 3 inches caught in my disk drive. It will not pop out and I cannot insert a regular sized cd into the drive. It will go in part way and the pops back out. Is there any way that I can open the drive and remove the little cd?

Put packaging tape on a black CD-R and the fold it on top of itself so there is a sticky side. Then insert the disk in the drive and slide it under or over the small disk. Once it is under or over pull out the CD-R somewhat fast with the small disk stuck on the tape. This should do the trick

If that doesnt work, you can take the optical drive apart very easily. Im not sure what computer you have, but follow our take apart guide for removing the optical drive. Once the drive is out, there are just a few screws on the top of the drive, and potentially the sides of the drive (depending on your model/mounting hardware), and the top of the drive pops right off. You can then take the small disk out, just be sure not to scratch the lens of the laser.
