They installed a new screen and everything was fine there, but now I have no back lit keyboard. I have tried to reset the PRAM and it didnt do anything.

perhaps they forgot to plug in the backlighting part of the keyboard.. take it back..

Yep, the backlit bit has a separate connector, there are no guides on ifixit.com for the 17" Unibody Macbook Pro yet, so either plug it in yourself (if your quite confident) or take it back to the Genius Bar.
