There is no reliable way to take off the broken jack plug from the sound port. If you look closely at a jack plug you'll notice that the plug has 3 sections. Most of the time the end of the plug (first section) is broken and stuck in the bottom of the port. The sound port has two metal tabs inside that make contact with the jack plug sections two and three and these two tabs are making obstuction when you try to pull the broken part out of the port. I think the only way to repair is to take off the motherboard from the machine and pay a tech to replace the whole port with a working one.
