Background and Identification ¶

Patagonia first introduced synthetic pile jackets in 1977. At that time they only came in an dull tan and an equally unattractive powder blue, but they were astonishingly warm for their weight and more importantly, they insulated even when they were wet. Patagonia continued to test and develop new fabrics and in 1984 they introduced Synchilla®, a soft double-faced fleece that looked great, felt good on the skin and insulated in a broad spectrum of conditions. Today Patagonia continues to develop and design fleece jackets in a variety of styles for the full gambit of uses – from skiing and snowboarding to spending a night on a big wall. Of course modern-day fleece jackets work just as well on a city street as in the mountains.

Today’s lightweight fleece jackets maximize core warmth without weighting you down. They wick away moisture and dry quickly to handle the most grueling of outdoor pursuits.

Garment Care and Maintenance: ¶

Has your garment endured an inadvertent food fight? Or maybe just snatched a bit of your morning coffee? Got a stain? Maybe your garment is just downright dirty from adventure. Whatever the issue, you’ll find answers on the Patagonia Product Care page.
