not picking up internet server after replacing the battery

just succcessfully installed a new battery in my 3GS. It took longer than I thought, but, I was proud of myself to get it back together and apparently still working!!!! It all seem to be working except all the apps state that they can not pick up the internet server? Help!

The little connector next to the headphone jack probably is not seated fully or has been torn when you removed logic board.. It is for wifi.
