Please try to clear the connector of the keyboard and fix it correctly, it may solve the problem. if you can't solve the problem, may be you need to repalce you keyboard

depends on which piece and what happened to it.

If by 'piece' of keyboard you mean a specific area on the keyboard then this is generally down to Liquid Damage. when the keys in that area are pressed do you hear or feel a 'clicking' sound/motion? Or do they appear to feel 'sponge-like'?
