Sleep light no longer working
Hi everyone!
I recently upgraded the HD in my 2009 Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro to a Samsung 830 Series 128GB SSD. The install was easy enough and I was extremely careful. Everything was working fine for about a week but last night I noticed that the sleep light doesn't light up anymore when the MacBook is asleep. I'm pretty sure that it is asleep as when I close the lid I hear the fans go off. That said, I couldn't understand why the light didn't come on and blink like it normally does. I picked up my MacBook and moved it around a little. After putting some pressure on the front-right underside (where the SSD is) I saw the light come on. If I let go, the light went off. Obviously there's a bad connection somewhere but I was so careful. I've heard about people putting a HD in the wrong way or pulling the SATA cable but I was extremely gentle. Can anyone give me any advice on this? It's not that big of a deal but it would be nice to still have it working. This SSD has given new life to this computer and it would be great to have everything working.
Thanks in advance and I hope you all have a great weekend!

Reopen and check for a lose connection or nicked wire for the light.

Thanks for your response, it's much appreciated. I've opened the MacBook up a few times and not been able to find the problem. I'm definitely no expert in this, however, so I'm not sure what to look for. The long thin cable that comes from the logic board down to the HD seems fine and the small 'piece' that runs off that down to the front light also seems fine. By fine I mean it doesn't look damaged and is still stuck down to the inside of the case. By pressing quite hard on the bottom of the MacBook (with case on) I manage to see the light. The area that I press seems to be in pretty much the same place as where the HD cable runs up from the HD and bends to the right. Thanks for your time.
