How to tell GB of iPhone without turning it on?

Hello,

I wanted to know if there was a way to tell if an iPhone is 8,16, or 32GB without turning it on. Like through the serial number or the logic board.

The problem with getting the number of the case, is that the case may have been changed. Check the chipset. The memory chip is on the "underside" of the logic board and is most likely a Toshiba.Do a search of that number and it should tell you which memory capacity your phone has. i.e. Toshiba TH58G6D1DTG80 being a 8GB IC. Hope this helps, good luck.

Look at the rear of the phone, below where it says "iPhone". On mine there is a square with "8GB" in.
