Phone goes from ring to silent and back to ring by itself?
My wife's iPhone 4 will go from ring to silent and back to ring all by itself. The ring/silent switch doesn't do anything, she has to turn the ringer down at night so it wont wake up our baby. any ideas on what is causing this problem, it was a replacement of her last phone and it is out of warranty now, so I can fix it myself, but don't know where to start.

sounds like you will have to replace the silent switch...
it comes in one part with the volume buttons and the headphone jack.
they have a good guide here
