Black square hard plastic from iPhone 4 repair
I was replacing the home button on my iPhone 4 and this piece fell out. It's made of hard black plastic, does anyone know where it goes? It measures approx 1.5mm

i think i know where it comes from,
could be the little rubber that protects the mic ribbon cable.
you can see the piece on this guide
Installing iPhone 4 Dock Connector
you can see the piece in picture 23, 24 and 26 next to the mic, lift side on the ribbon cable.
your phone will work fine without it :-)
