iSight light is always on

History

The green "camera is on" iSight light to the right of the iSight is perpetually on! I know that the camera is not actually on (the cable is not even connected), but it is still unnerving. Any ideas?

the fact that the camera is disconnected does not stop the rest of the circuitry to switch off / on. So is the camera actually on when you connect the cable?

You should try disconnecting the cable to the light (if possible) and reconnecting it to see if that helps

Well, this didn't fix the problem, but it gave me the motivation to open the machine and disconnect the cables. The light is definitively off now! Thanks!
