Power adapter flush and little smoke, non power-up now.

History

Hello. I'm working with my Macbook Air Mid 2011, with power cable connected, and I hear and strange sound from AC power adapter and a little of smoke.

Then, no power up. Charger lights up when connect, but seems there's no power in the laptop.

Do you think is power adapter? Can I save all my information store at SSD disk?

Thanks in advance

Are you able to run the system on battery at all? Did it work but as your charger was not charging your system, your battery is now dead? Correct?

I would be contacting Apple. They have a replacement/extended warranty on the chargers... your SSD should not be affected, and after contacting Apple to see if they will repair, or offer you a Depot Repair (less than $500.00) on your machine you could pull the SSD, put it in an external case and access it as you would an external drive. Your home owners insurance may cover the repair, depends on your insurance, and the deductible.
