ipad 2 touchscreen pressing without me touching the screen

i replaced a cracked screen on my iPad, when it cracked it started to freak out. like an invisible finger touching my screen randomly. after replacement it still has the same problem. did i buy a faulty screen or is it something else?

any help would be useful..

after some more google searching, I think the problem could be worse than I hoped for. A lot of people are having the same problem without replacing the screen. also called a ghost or phantom screen. could be motherboard related...
