Is my LCD cracked?

Hi,

Last week a fine line appeared across my screen. Since then, grey lines have started to propagate out from the line. There is no sign of cracking on the glass, so I'm guessing from reading this site that it is the LCD that is cracking?

Can anyone confirm this please? And is it possible to replace the LCD on its own? If so which component will I require?

Thanks in advance,

Martin

That is the LCD Display. It can be replaced as a single part LCD Display for iPhone 3GS. It can be purchased with or without the silver metal backing plate.
