Are the 2-piece vs. 1-piece bottom covers interchangeable?

Is it possible to use parts from a Macbook Unibody 13" to convert the Macbook Pro Unibody 13" to a 2-piece bottom cover with removable battery? Seems like some of the holes are still there and will line up.
Did you try this? What did you find out?

It appears as though the beam running between the logic board & battery/hard drive has the tapped holes for this mod. I cannot confirm this is possible without a 13' macbook unibody. If it works, this would be a handy mod for those who travel long distances without an outlet.
