CDMA iPhone 4 bad reception; not antenna/motherboard
I have taken my Verizon iPhone 4 apart several times, but after my last conversion I have had bad service. I replaced the antenna/speaker module with no luck. Naturally, I figured that the problem lies with the motherboard, so I placed a fully working motherboard into the phone, but still no success. Also If I place the original motherboard into another phone it works fine. Is there something wrong with the frame of my phone that is making it have bad reception?

You might want to clean all of the contacts with isopropyl to get any oils off of them. I replaced an iPhone 4's antenna and t had the same issue that you are describing here. Turns out that just a little bit of oil from your fingers can dramatically decrease and even cut off the signal. To prevent this, I always use latex gloves while working on electronics. You skald just take a small drop of isopropyl or another light degreaser and gently scrub each of the contacts with a soft brush. It fixed my problem. You might also have to clean the contacts on the logic board.
hope this Helps
what could i use the alcohol to clean? from experimenting with mix and matching parts, the only thing that is consistent each time with the phone is the metal frame, the screen, the camera and button connectors, the dock connector and that small connector at the top of the phone that you put the shield over. I'm convinced that it isnt the motherboard or antenna because if i stick both of those into another phone they work fine together.

Right next to battery I had same issue. If you can't get it. They are normally pretty good at fixing all problems when it comes to iPhones, iPads, etc.
