How to replace motherboard?
This question is archived. No new answers are allowed, and only the question's owner may edit it.
Hi there, I recently had an accident with my Nexus and damaged it's screen. I did find the phone to be working for the next few days even though there is no display. Since I got the phone off amazon (I'm in India n there are no service options here for Nexus even in Grey Market), I sent it to Singapore through a friend for fixing a new screen. However, the service guys there are now telling me that my motherboard has been completely damaged and it needs fixing as well. I do not believe that because I have seen the phone function for few days after the accident. I heard phones calls and vibrations for texts.
How do I now figure out if he is indeed telling the truth about my motherboard? Is there any do-it-yourself method to it? My friend, who has my phone, did try switching it on after putting it on charge and said that there was no response from the phone. Does this confirm my motherboard's damage?
300$ is the price for replacing screen n motherboard. Staggering really! Is there anyway I can minimize my losses now? Any kind of help/idea/sugge
