By some miracle I managed to replace the flex cable and digitizer. I made such a mess of the repair at the start but thought about it all logically and the parts assembled them self.

I did the repair because my power button was broken before and when I replaced the flex cable it still does not work.

The power button was the only successful thing about the repair, it has a nice sounding bounce and looked perfect, my vibrate button was broken and even the volume button was dodgy but they all work and my power doesn't...

The thing is I need the power button for DFU mode and obviously locking the phone.

Does anybody know what could be the problem if it isn't the flex cable?

Somebody please help :(
