dryer maytag DE 303 door button
arced the shut off wires on door, now it does not shut off when you open the door or control knob, also no heat.

jim, If the motor doesn't stop when the door is opened, it is most likely the due to a defective door switch. The door switch may also control a relay, which in turn controls the motor or fan as well as the heating element. I would start by replacing the door switch first. It is available at places like this. Part number 9 in the image is the switch. After you replace the switch, reevaluate and see what works, and what doesn't. Hope this helps, good luck.
