Rebooting. Getting apple icon only

Replaced battery just fine. Now plugged into charger and only getting apple icon for 5 minutes.

Have you tried a reset? Either soft or hard reset. Does the phone get recognized when you plug it into the computer?

What happens when you plug it into iTunes? iTunes might find it in recovery mode

Nothing. I went back into battery and all cables/wires are connected properly. Could the battery be completely dead? Purchased with kit thru ifixit.

try and plug it into an AC adapter and see what you get.
