Headphone jack won't detect or play

This morning when I plugged in my headphones they did not work. I use them to and from work 5 days a week. I tried another pair of headphones and they also did not work. google turns up lint issues and while I did fish some out with a paperclip (carefully of course) That did not resolve the issue.
I took the phone apart and checked the connections, the jack is part of bottom touch keys and it has jack attached to the pcb.
I was not able to see the solder points as they are beneath the jack.
I am running everything bone stock aside from a launcher. any tip or things to try would be appreciated.
